WHERE WE CAME FROM

OUR STORY

THE DREAM

HELLO CAPTAIN PINT

Megaton’s Master Brewer, affectionately known as Captain Pint, began his journey of crafting his own brews in the early 1990’s. His brewing experience and culinary training led to years of experimental brewing well outside the boundaries of traditional beer styles. Jered then began to hone his craft, he collaborated with others in the craft beer community, in addition to teaching local courses in advanced brewing techniques. Jered graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Houston, and holds a Master of Science degree in Hospitality Administration from the Conrad Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant Management.

THE APPRENTICE

HELLO VAULT BOY

After moving to the Kingwood area, Chris Sarvadi affectionately known as “Vault Boy”, started his tutelage under the master and would later become his dedicated apprentice, friend and business partner. Chris received his BA in Communication from Cabrini College in 2012.

THE LAUNCH

HELLO DR. DEAL

As Jered and Chris began to push each other during their collaborations between their two distinct brewing styles and shared them with friends and family everyone wanted more. JP “Dr. Deal” Barkley was helping drain the kegs Jered and Chris were sharing around town and he soon began to share the amazing elixir he was enjoying with others as if it was his own. This led to this tripod of a friendship, never to be shaken or toppled to seek out a way to bring their passion to reality. John Paul adds his knowledge of marketing skills to the mix and has a BA in Business Marketing from the University of Houston.

After sharing their dream with many friends and family, their greatest fan and biggest champion Victoria Sarvadi who is JP’s mother-in-law and Chris’s aunt caught the craft beer bug and saw what it could be. With her help and generosity and the guidance of her husband Paul Sarvadi, a successful entrepreneur the dream of Megaton became a reality. Victoria has a doctorate in Hebraic Studies.

$1 Per Pint all Day this Thursday through Sunday for the Wilson-Ledford Family Memorial Donation Fund

This heartbreaking tragedy has deeply impacted our tight-knit Kingwood community. Jeff Wilson, a beloved teacher at Kingwood Park High School, and Amber Wilson, a dedicated long-time employee at Insperity, touched countless lives through their kindness, compassion, and commitment to others. The Wilsons may be gone, but they will never be forgotten. As we write this, their son, Shiloh, is still missing following the devastating floods, and our hearts are heavy with both hope and sorrow.

This week, Thursday through Sunday we’re coming together to honor the Wilson family and support those left behind. All weekend long, we’ll be raising funds in their name, with proceeds from sales going directly to the family and ongoing search efforts. Whether you stop by for a pint, a bite, or simply to show your support, your presence matters. Let’s stand together as a community and remind the Wilsons’ loved ones that they are not alone.
